update!

I haven't posted in a looooong time. My life just seems so mundane that I feel it must bore any reader as well! ;)

Any adventure might seem mundane at times. Or hard and not so fun . . .  after all, true adventure is not Disney.

So, it has been a hard couple of months I guess you could say. I had a miscarriage at ten weeks-ish at the beginning of September. Recovering from that physically and emotionally, and working part time overnights at the nursing home in town  . . . just been busy. Tes has also been busy with his last classes.

A cousin in law mentioned that we like to post pictures of ourselves doing fun and cool things, not things like cleaning toilets. But sometimes it is good to admit that no one's lives are perfect.

My kitchen is far from perfect.

So much to be thankful for.

Our anniversary

Well I have been waiting to post for awhile. It has been so busy since I started working a few more hours at work. You have to love working overnights.

Last month was our anniversary so we went on a couple of dates to celebrate.

This place is so beautiful, but I have to say the second place is more fun! We went to an old granite quarry. We didn't even get pictures of the best parts! I had been there when I was younger but all I remembered was riding my bike and lots of mosquitoes and a pond. This time we went swimming and it was so gorgeous. The water was perfectly clear and so deep, and there were docks and cliffs to jump or dive off of, as well as a little beach. It was crazy because one of the swimming quarries we were at we sat at the edge on some big boulders, and when we were ready to swim we just jumped off. There was no telling how deep it was even at the edge.

These pictures were of a smaller quarry used for fishing. They also had quarries for scuba diving.

Ran accross this picture today and kind of went "awww." Made me miss his tiny sweetness!

But he is still pretty tiny, sweet, and so much fun, too. :)

photo booth photos

I got to take a handsome date to my friend's wedding! This was about a month ago.

I also enjoyed visiting with my sister!

And some old friends! It was nice to see some friends that I haven't seen in quite some time.

Some of the wedding party! I wish I'd gotten a better shot of the bride and groom but I didn't want to just walk in front of everyone while a speech was being made. It was the most fun I'd ever had at a wedding. I suspect that was due to the fact that I had a handsome date to bring. . .

After the wedding we went to a concert in this cool hall. We almost fell asleep though.

This past weekend we spent an afternoon at the beach. Ahhh it feels so good to go swimming.  We had  a really good time together as a family enjoying the lake. And yes, we did change out of our swimsuits to take pictures. As modest as our swimwear is, I still didn't feel the need to photograph them.

A catch up post

Happy Birthday big boy! He was a little sad because he had grabbed the candle a few minutes before. What was I thinking???! I don't think he really got hurt but just was sad for a couple minutes.

He didn't make a mess of his birthday brownies though: he ate them with his spoon. So polite!

My baby before we went out for his birthday.

We went to the zoo. Yoni did like the animals and running around.

Ended up with a ride in this zebra car. Tes and I just couldn't resist!

Part II:

We went camping at Itasca at the end of May. Tes' first trip camping and our first camping trip together! I loved it! We went with my brother as our guide. Good thing because we didn't know how to set up the tent by ourself.

Playing by the headwaters. This kid loves playing in puddles of all sizes!

See, he likes to cook! Only allowed with parental supervision!
